Frequently Asked Questions
How long are the walks?
Walk time starts when we leave your home with your dog and ends when we return. Driving to your house is not counted as part of the 30- or 60-minute walk. A 30-minute walk means about 30 minutes of walking, sniffing, and potty time for your dog.
How do I book a walk?
You can book through our website or by text/email. Recurring weekly walks can be locked in ahead of time, and one-off walks are available when schedule space allows. Same-day requests are accepted when we have an opening.
Will I get updates after each walk?
Yes. After every visit you’ll receive a short report. Photos will be included.
What areas do you cover?
If you’re just outside our regular area, send us your address and we’ll let you know whether we can fit you in or add you to a nearby route.
Are you insured, and how do first visits work?
Yes, we carry liability insurance. New clients start with a meet-and-greet so we can learn your dog’s routine, meet them in person, and confirm house access. After that, walks are booked on a recurring or as-needed schedule.
What if my dog has medical needs or behaviour issues?
That’s common, and we’re happy to work with it as long as we know in advance. Tell us about medications, allergies, reactivity, separation anxiety, or anything else that affects walks. If a dog needs specialised handling beyond what we can provide safely, we’ll let you know and help you find a better fit.
Do you walk more than one dog at a time?
We offer both solo and small-group walks. Solo walks are best for dogs that need extra attention, are reactive, or are still learning leash manners. Group walks are only for dogs that get along well together and are comfortable around other dogs.
What happens in bad weather?
We walk in light rain and typical seasonal weather, and we adjust pace and route as needed. In extreme heat, ice, thunderstorms, or unsafe conditions, we’ll switch to a shorter potty break or indoor enrichment if that’s safer for your dog. You’ll always get a heads-up if we need to change the plan.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Please cancel at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged the full walk fee, since that time is already reserved for your dog. Weather-related safety cancellations on our side are not charged.
